Cannot access secure sites

All of a sudden I cannot get onto my log in page on internet banking (2 different banks) and I cannot do any bookings for a hotel looks like secure sites are not letting me in. Whats happened please

My husband as also had a similiar problem this evening. but we have not altered any cookies.

Hi Erin

Banks do not normally store username and passwords in cookies for security reasons i.e. someone could write a program to scan your hard drive and copy your cookie to their PC.  They do write a cookie to your PC when you visit their site but I assume it contains information about preferences and settings?

Removing a cookie should NOT prevent access to online banking as far as I know.
