G'day Ann

Duffers Creek is a short waterway that flows north out of the Alps and into the Grey river a few miles downstream from Totara Flats. A Granville Road runs south from Totara Flats for a short distance into the Alps where it runs up a valley alongside Duffers Creek. No Granville settlement is shown though in the gold extraction days there were probably camps in all of those little valleys. As for Inangahua, it’s still there but only a shadow of what it was in the 1880’s. The quake only hastened what was happening naturally.
