Cause of death 'wearing'?
« on: Sunday 20 August 06 19:39 BST (UK) »
A friend of mine has been trawling through parish records at the Borthwick Institute and found an ancestor of hers died of 'wearing'. At least, this was in the same column as smallpox, old age etc so she's assumed it must be a cause of death. Does anyone know what 'wearing' is or was, please?
