Registration district in Hertfordshire?

Can someone please tell me if there is a registration district called Henstead in Hertfordshire?

Could this be Hemel Hempstead. ?? Certainly a Herts reg district.

I have seen it transcribed as H Hemstead so you never know.

I was given what I thought was an incorrect date of birth for a Edith May Brooks and checking it on Ancestry the registration area was Henstead. I knew Edith was born in Hertfordshire but didn't know where Henstead was.

I've since found the correct entry, which is Royston, which is in......Hertfordshire!

Oh the joys of checking of other people's information!!

Glad you got it sorted. Yep, Royston is in Herts.

It's actually not to far from Bedfordshire or Cambridgeshire on the map.
