christian family

hi,
is there anyone who would know of
albert edward  christian, born 1866 sheffield,
he is surposed to have married a lady called elizabeth broadley,in 1888, but i cant find no marriage for them,
but on the 1891 census elizabeth or mary elizabeth is down as a lodger with albert but she is called spooner,
i belive she first married some one called spooner ,as she has two children ,beatrice spooner born 1886,  in gosport hampshire and frederick spooner born 1887,
i know that elizabeth was born in toronto canada,
i would just love to know if she did marry albert,
she is on the 1901 census with albert but now down as his wife,
it is all very confussing
any help would be welcome,
