Lookup please for Mundell

Hi can anyone help I need a lookup for a William Mundell and Ann Mundell neeWalker they may have been born in Londonderry as they had two children born there before the family moved to Glasgow Scotland sometime before 1838 as they had a son born in Glasagow that year,

Any information would be gratefully received thank you in advance.

Hello Scruffy,

What denomination were William and Ann? Would they have been Catholics, members of the Established Church (Anglicans or Church of Ireland) or Presbyterians?

You'll have to rely on Church records as civil registration in Ireland was not introduced until 1864. Non Catholic marriages were registered from 1845 onwards. When registration for BDMS started in 1864 some people didn't bother with the registration for a few years after that date. Keep your fingers crossed that church records still exist.
