Hi,  Just to let you know that that part of the village disappeared at the end of the seventies when they decided to put a new rolling mill in the steelworks, which disappeared  its self in 1991 when they closed the steelworks. Now they are rebuilding on the site of the mill and steelworks new houses and factories but they are near enough Tan-y-Fron not the Lodge. The village of Lodge now consists of 72 houses near enough in a row, with 5 or 6 on the side where the  steelworks was. Norma

I have just been on this site http://www.homestead.com/owensaw/brymbo.html and there is a picture of Nant Rd not very god but it will show you where it used to be.  Norma

Thanks norma_jess, i've had a look at the site and it is interesting.
Saw what was left of Nant R.d  which looked quite a sorry sight!!

Sad to see places vanish, i think it's called progress?? Poli.
