That is such amazing news!  What are the odds - Monique finds it one day, floating out there on eBay, and by the next day it's been (almost) reunited with its family 

This is one of the great things about family history - the serendipity - and one of the reasons I love Rootschat so much.  It's a great community that will go to some pretty amazing lengths to see things happen

I can't remember who's selling the items, but if they are an individual seller, an email to them might not go astray - it would be worthwhile at least letting them know that a family member is bidding on the items.

I looked at it today and it was still under a fiver, so surprised it went so high-but  only the cost of a few certificates and no doubt priceless to the new owner
