Hi

Do I get a discount if I choose all of them   :) :) :)

Puns should be intended. That's why the Smileys are there.

Now you can go and take stock (there's a pun there somewhere!!)

I think my pal Russell means that it might be worth you buying a few wills, yn9man.

Gadget -

Thanks for translating your Pal Russell's message.    ;D  ;D

I went on Scotlands People with the reference numbers for wills and inventories I previously "researched" a few weeks ago.

Appears the reference numbers have since changed. I first thought I may have written the reference numbers down wrong (operator error again) but  the numbers were different for all 7 wills and inventories I had located. ... So back to square one in my research.

Honestly, I am doing (i.e. attempting) my "best" to help keep your economy afloat ...

so put  the names, area and dates in again  ???

It's pretty quick and then you just select, pay and download  :)

But if you've already paid and viewed them, they should be in your 'previously viewed images' folder.

Sorry, my line keeps going down  :(

Gadget -  :)  :)

I re input the seven names and areas again yesterday. All results were negative.   ???

I can only assume I must be doing something seriously wrong .... or maybe the information was never there in the first place. Maybe I was having a dream or ......

However, I haven't given up completely.

The selecting / ordering system appears to be very efficient and I look forward to downloading at least one of the wills and one inventory listing.

What I liked about your Will/inventory, Russell, was the whole list of names - wow was he owed some  :o
I also saw that poor old Robert Gordon was signing - I have quite a few of his signatures on mine as well AND he signed the release papers for my james when he went to jail  :)

Hiya Gadget.  This is a long shot, re the date, but do you have the list of names still ?
Or the name of the deceased ? I am trying to discover more about a Nathan Gibson and Grace McKie/Key of Disdow. They baptised two daughters there in 1820 and 1823. I have been assuming Nathan was connected to the Gibsons of Carsphairn, but have found no concrete proof.

Hi

Very sorry but I don't recall. it was in 2006* and Runner's list and, very sadly, he is no longer with us.
