OK,  I've found a marriage for Vera Laybourne to Arthur C Hopley Jun Q 1939 Barton 8c 1549.  I can't see any children but I'll contact Theo with this information and possibly suggest that he places a "trying to find" in the Manchester Evening News.

If anyone else has any ideas of how to proceed, please do chip in.
