ALFRED DAVIS ??

I just wonder if anyone else has Alfred Davis in their family tree?
My gt.grandmother Louisa Geoghan (nee Paddison) married Alfred Davis in 1885, Hanley Stoke on Trent.

She had been in the workhouse with her children & they had been sent off to Canada in 1885 (perhaps she did not know that was happening) anyway, she married Alfred Davis, and the certificate states that she was a widow, I have not been able as yet to trace death of Stephen Geoghan her first husband, could not find him on 1881 census, so must assume she was indeed a widow in 1885 when she remarried

I traced her on the 1891/1901 census with Alfred at Bryan Road, Henley, Stoke on Trent, with them appearing on both census is 1891  Louisa Thomas (described as a visitor) 1901 Louisa Thomas described as niece. Does this ring a bell for anyone??

Alfred Davis was son of  Frederick Davis a schoolmaster
Can anyone help??? if I can find death of Alfred Davis I hope also to trace death of Louisa, have not yet been succesful in that search, so any info would be very much appreciated thanks
