Family Tree

Not sure if this is of help to anyone, i use Ecel with text boxes to create a flexible tree, ie the boxes are easy to move around to suit the new info, once it is complete it can be added to the TREE. bodger

That's an interesting way of doing it Bodger.

If it works for you, then that's great!

Good luck.

Hi Bodger

An interesting, if unorthodox method of charting your family tree.

How do you exchange information with other interested parties though?

Have you got a secret GEDOM file stored away somewhere?

Downside, I just e-mail it as an attachment, it may be unorthadox but it is very user friendly, , each box contains a family, & as new info comes in i just move them down, and adjust the lines and arrows to suit.

Hi I'm new to Roots Chat but a friend sent me your page as he knows my mother's maiden name is Bacon and so that family features widely in my searches. The main strand came from the Nottinghamshire area.
I'd be really interested to look at your Tree but couldn't read the scanned page you've put in your post.
You said you are happy to e-mail it to people but I'm not sure how to arrange that through this system.
Any ideas advice?
Bacon: Mansfield, Nottinghamshire
Hopkinson: Blidworth / Farndon, Nottinghamshire
Hopkins: Kent, Berkshire, Dorset
Markey: Zeals / Mere, Wiltshire & London
Down: London
Batchelor: Southamton
Brown: Kent, Hampshire
