1891/01 - MADGWICK, James
« on: Monday 28 August 06 05:08 BST (UK) »
Hi
Am looking for the Madgwick family that married into the Warners and am having trouble as there seems to be dozens of them all named George.  Have them in the 1881 Census but would love a look-up in the 1891/01 Census please.  It might be easier if you look for the children.  The family was
MADGWICK, George b Haselmeer, Sussex ???
     "           , Mary b 1848 Compton
     "          , William b abt 1875 Stenten
     "          , John b 1877     Stenten
     "        , Mark b 1879 Lavent
     "        , James 1880 Bosham
There are older children, but they would have left by then.
Thanking you.
Granny

Hi Kerry
Thanks for that information.  You can see the drama I was having with George.  In the earlier Census, I can't make head nor tail of who is who.  From what I can summise and from looking through the BMD, he seems to have had several wives and children to each.  It never ceases to amaze me the time these guys mourn for their wives before another walkes in the door.
Thanks again.
