Census Lookup Please

Hello everybody,

This is my first post on the Scottsh board.

Now i was wondering whether anybody could have a look on the 1851, 1861 1871 and maybe even the  1841 census for me please?

My Grt Grt Grandmother was called Christina Anderson born 'SOMEWHERE' in Scotland about 1850.

Her marriage certificte in 1877 says her father's name is Thomas and he was an Engineer.

I know absolutely nothing else about her - she was living in Norwich when she married William Lambert from Bedfordshire. They evenaully settled in Bedfordshire - and im still here!

Hope somebody can help.

Hi Jim,

Welcome to the Scottish board  :)

I looked up the IGI at http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/  between 1840 and 1860 in Scotland and there is an  entry for a Christina Anderson with parents Thomas Anderson and Christina Robb born 13th Sept 1852 at Abbotshall, Fife

Others born between 1840 and 1860 using Thomas as the father's name have birth years of 1858,1859 and 1860.
 
A possible marriage...Thomas Anderson married Christian Robb 23rd December 1844 Kinghorn, Fife

Census can be checked at http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/ (pay to view) or you could try Freecen at http://freecen.rootsweb.com/cgi/search.pl but I don't think that Abbotshall is online yet.

Hi! I am wondering jimbohodge if you got any further in your search for Christine/Christina? She is also my great great grandmother.  On the 1921 census (Living with her son william lambert and daughter Lucy Lambert) her birthplace is given as Cupar, Fifeshire. I haven’t been able to find anything more yet.
