I've just had a quick browse (I could spend ages on there), and although I haven't found anything of mine yet, it's obviously worth keeping an eye on.

I have just been having a browse myself and came across this lot for sale:

Unfortunately, none belong to me (how I wish they did), but wouldn't it be wonderful if a Rootschat member recognised some of the names and photographs.

There are several names and addresses in the various documents........would be great for a Rootschat challenge  to reunite the collection with the correct descendents :)

Oh Jan, I've just had a look at that and I'm in nearly in tears! There's people's whole lives sitting there - marriage certificates, wills, letters - even their cheque books! It's a wonderful collection, and crying out be runited with someone it would have meaning for.

I'm busy for an hour or so, but when I can get back to the 'puter, I'll sift through some of those names - especially those that the older papers belong to, and see if I can put some details together. It's definitely a matter for a Rootschat challenge.

Just looked at that link and WOW!!! What a treasure trove. I just hope it all finds its way back to the family. So much there that I wouldn't know where to start if it was mine
