Hi Britadian
Suee is my wife and has posted this while i was at work, good on her.
Lional Hawkins Chell was navigator on the same Halifax
as my great uncle William Henry Seabridge who was at the time rear gunner.
I am trying to say the least, to obtain photo's and information of the crew and opps.
We have so far managed to get photo,s of the war graves from a very special person in the Netherlands, but no personal history or photo,s from the uk.
I realize this is a difficult matter but would like to show my respects to all of the crew.
Yes Pat is related to me, and she just wants the same.
I wish the crews family could join together and share this.

My husband is the grandson of Roland Horton Chell from Stourport. He married Gladys Mason and had two children: Alfred and Dora (my husband's mother). We are just beginning to sort out the family history and would appreciate any more information about the family.

Hi Worleystef
Thankyou very much for your responce,
its good to see you are sorting out your family history.
My Great uncle flew with your Great uncle ( is that correct ) he was the rear gunner on the same Halifax RG443 ZA-Q.
I never knew my g uncle and what he and his crew did my uncles name was William Henry Seabridge.
I have no knoledge about there private lives, but i have researched the crew, the families left behind didnt know each other.
All i am trying to do is put all the crew backtogether and show my respect.
Please feel free to ask me anything.

My name is Tom.  I’m a member of the board of the Dutch Foundation “Stichting Adoptoption Graves CWGC Venray War Cemetery (www.adoptiegraven-venray.nl). The purpose of our foundation is to preserve the memory of the 693 soldiers who found their final resting place at this cemetery.

We conduct research into the background of the military. In particular, we are looking for photos so that we can give the graves a face. We have these photos printed on metal plates that we place at the graves on special occasions. We also try to contact family members.

Lional Hawkins Chell, William Henry Seabridge (both mentioned in this topic) and Thomas Cuthbert Smith (all members of the crew of Halifax RG443) are buried at the Venray War Cemetery.

We are looking for a photo of Lional and Thomas.
