It is a campaign 'raising awareness of the importance of history in our everyday lives' Am sure RC's would like to add their thoughts and images  Tip, adding keywords to your declaration means you can find your entry later

Thanks for the link.  I read the BBC History magazine each month and they have been covering this campaign for sometime and getting the views of historians on why history matters to them.  Makes for interesting reading.

Actually Kerry I found the link on the Time Team website, after all that talk of TT yesterday I thought i'd look at their site. Seems like an interesting project.

Today on the History Matters Website(and until the 1st November) you can contribute to a mass online blog about your everday life today that will be stored in the British Library web archive and available to future historians/ researchers to give them an idea of what life is like in the UK today.

The website say that entries are encouraged to include something on how history impacted on them that day.
