Sorry Jenn, yes she was in Australia, possibly for a long while.

Doesn't seem to appear in the censuses, but may already be married by then so i wouldn't know if it was her, the only marriage i can find thats looks possible is to John Vowles, but no evidence of this being correct.

She is in one of Henys letters says to his Nephew Francis(father Edward) " ask him my age and his sister SARAH age, she says she is 10 years older than me and she looks 20, she can get about very well at times"

And in the letter about Eliza Anna S/Zucker says "I have been corresponding with Cousin Eliza Anna Zucker, that is your cousin and Aunt Sarahs daughter, that is your aunt the one uncle henry thought so much about that lives in Australia"

Hello there

Kev  I have been  doing a bit of sluething about  and  through a contat have found  that the Suckers still own  the Commercial Hotel  in Morpeth!!!!!

I shall pm  you  with an email  address.  The lady  is  related  through  the Stace  families  which  married  into  the Suckers and  the Duck  families  which I think  were part of the Stace family

Let us know  of  any further developements, we are all very interested :P

Also  she tells me  that she couldn't find  the marriage of Eliza Ann  daughter of your Sarah Clark and  Henry William Sucker (he was the son of  John Sucker and Eliza Stace.)
but believes Eliza maiden name was Smith( bugger it

The only was  is to get eliza ann suckers death certificate and hope who ever filled it out  knew her paretns details.

hope this helps  a little

regards Jenn

Also  ;D

In one of the letters he says his youngest is married to a master builder in wolverhampton.

So i reaslised Sarah is the youngest born 1867, i then checked in 1901 census for any sarahs born c1867 in Australia, 1 living in Wolverhampton with husband John BREVITT, went to NSW BMDs and checked and YES!!! marriage in Singleton 1889 to Sarah Clark, so it all ties in.

They had a son William John Brevitt born Melbourne 1891 according to census.
Then must have gone to England.

I have gone through all the relatives on the NSW BDMs and found their marraiges, kids and deaths, thank you all for your help.

Still trying with Eliza Anna Sucker :P :P
