Hi Gadget, thanks for hollering!  ;D

I'd go with Gadget's date range, probably concentrating on the middle of that period - say around the beginning of the war.

Can't tell who it is though - looking forward to seeing the larger version ofthe other pic!  :D

Hi Prue - so you heard me loud and clear  :D

I've just realised that I've got a family photo taken in 1915 and one of the women is wearing a very similar outfit, so......................

I'm also waiting with baited breath for the enlargement. I do like doing likenesses  :)

Gadget

PS given the date, I wouldn't think that they are the same person.

I think I can close the date down to after 1913, Prue. All the girls in my 1913 Girls Annual have long skirts. Don't know if that helps, but it knocks a couple of years off.

They are so similar - nose, eyes mouth, shape of face. They must be sisters or the same person.

It could be me but I think the lady in the 2nd photo has a slightly rounder face. They are probably sisters

And the hair is possibly lighter - I think it's the younger sister the more I look.

sorry for the delay, I had to surrender use of the pc to the others :( ;D

thanks for all your replies, I'll just have to file it as 'possible grandmother/one of her sisters'.

Gadget, a quick tutorial please on how you managed to get
the 2 faces side by side.
