Hi Caz,just come off the free bmd,I put Newton in with just an "e",in the marriages and deaths ,nothing came up other than Elizabeth,esther,emily, eliza,nothing remotley like epsa....g

I think it's an E, not an I - it looks pretty similar to the E in emma further up the page

Could she be Hepsibar, and the enumerator simply didn't hear the unusual name? 'Cos it certainly looks like Epsa to me...

I see her in 1851 now - she's in Heydon, Essex with her family. Why do all enumerators have such issue with the name Hepzibah? It's not that uncommon  ??? :-\

But where is her brother?!

Although her place of birth is given as Dudno End (but that's really close to Elmdon)
