FINCHINGFIELD , being so pictuesque [? spelling] there are lots of photos to be found on the web. i believe there is / was a windmill in that part [when i lived nearby 40 odd years ago! in Great Bardfield]
And many of the ducks which frequent the small lake in the middle of Finchingfield [much photographed part] are often seen waddling up that Duck End road.

Hi

Do you have old pictures of Duck End as you live there.
If you don't have any old ones then have you got any pictures of it nowadays.

                              Thanks Nomee

One of the families I'm researching lived in Duck End.  In the 1871 Census, Joseph and Sophia Levitt, both in their 70s, are listed there.  If this rings any bells with anyone, I'd be grateful to hear from them.  I occasionally stay with a friend in Finchingfield, so I'll try to remember to take a photograph of Duck End next time I'm there!
