You are right to be sceptical about the 1891 - I should have checked 1881 & they are there, so it is not the same family.

Which still leaves you with the problem of finding a marriage for Eugenia.

All the children are born in Pancras, so you might expect the marriage to be there too...

I haven't checked PENGELLEY due to the variations in spelling possible.  Maybe ORFORD was misheard?

From what I know its more than likely the did not legally marry, it runs in the family evidently

I have now found Wm Pengelly on the 1891 so the search is complete now thanks to your invaluable help.

Thanks for that,  these mistranscriptions are a real pain in the b.... yes the nephew in 1891 is correct as  Susan Hitchcock was formally Pengelly. Thats works out o.k. for the first child born  1893
