locating place of burial?
« on: Saturday 09 September 06 17:27 BST (UK) »
Hi All,

Can anyone tell me the most likely place someone would be buried if living in Aberdare?

I am trying to locate the burials of my husband's grandparents and their daughter.  I know when the daughter died in 1901 the family were living in Wordsworth St., Aberdare.

I know they were still in Wordsworth St. in 1903 but am not sure exactly where they were when the father died in 1907 or the mother in 1911, although I do know it was in Aberdare.

Anyone have any ideas?

Regards
Sandie

Hi Sandie,
If you get in touch with the burial clerk at Monk St as SS suggests ask for a plot number and a map!!
It's one of the biggest cemeteries I've been to. I had plot numbers and was lucky to meet the groundsman there who showed me where to find them, otherwise I'd still be there now.

Cas, SS and ems girl,

Thank you all for the suggestions - I never seem to think of the obvious!!!  It must be old age creeping on.
