I know a few years have passed since this post was started, but hope some of you are still out there.

I have a John Odell, dob c.1739, who married Rose Osbourne, dob c. 1743 on or about 18 October 1764 quite likely Harrold, Beds. Could these people be tied into yours of a later date? They would be my 5G grandparents.

Their children were Rose(a), William, John jr., Ann, James, Elizabeth and Alice, all born between 1766 and 1782. Rose, or Rosa, went on to marry Samuel Buck and they were my 4G grandparents. I do not know what happened to the other Odell's, all who would be cousins of some sort.

Other families of the this time and location (Beds.), say up to 1850 or so include family names such as Worker, Freshwater, Laughton, Gurney, Woods, Splevins, Hartwell and Knight. And wouldn't you know it, the Odell's marry into the family a second time, but which ones?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Ralph
