William COLE & Charity ? Marriage

Hi,

I am hoping someone can find the marriage info of Charity (nee Ale, Heal, or like name) and William Cole as well as their birth info. I believe they are from Shebbear/Buckland Brewer areas. They came to Canada in 1842 with several children - the number of children keeps changing on me.  I'm unsure as to when and where they were married and thier ages at the time. I have estimated their birthdates from the info I have as; Charity (1801) and William (1792). This is a brick wall for me so if you can get this info for me that would be very much appreciated. Thx.

You can send for birth cert to confirm maiden name/address if needed.  This looks a good possible, quote parents names to be sure.

Hello everyone,

Thx for the info. Sorry for the delay in responding, I've been travelling a lot on business and have had only a few opportunitie to work on this.

I have now gone to free BMD and looked at the birth info for the kids born after 1837. I'm still woring on getting info regarding the children born before that date. I have tried getting access to the Bible Christian records in Toronto via online, but so far have been unsuccessful. I think only a trip ther to do the research will be the answer  to looking at those records. It would be very interesting for me to see if they were involved with the BCs and if so how much involved.

I have a copy of the 1841 census now too and it matches the 1851 Cdn census. It confirms for me that the family moved to Canada from Devon in late 1841 or early 1842 (the 1st born in Canada was in 1842).

I still would like to find out when and where Charity and Wm got married and who their parents are. The search goes on.

Any help with this would also be very appreciated.
