Hi Elaine,  Could you please look up, both towns, for a Marion Haldane. She died in the area in 1851 or 1852. She was married to John Ewan.

Hello Elaine,
I have a favour to ask of your please. Could you please see if there was a William Law buried at Auchterderran or any other members of the Law family? The family seems to have lived there from the 1841 census to 1861. Any help from a family researcher in the Aussie bush would be most appreciated. The Oswald family is also connected and any information about them would also be most helpful. Thank you.

Jas Law, sometime farmer Brighills died Chapel 22.4.1858, age 52, wife Agnes Wilson died Kirkcaldy 27 July 1866, age 76, daughter Agnes died Chapel 17 Jan 1858, daughter Christian died Kirkcaldy 25 Mar 1873, daughter Helen died Kirkcaldy 30 Sep 1881, daughter Euphemia Samson died Edinburgh 14 Feb 1889.
Wm Law, wife Margaret Fullerton 4 Aug 1857, age 62, daughter Eliz 17 Jun 1861, age 22.
Jas Mitchell farmer Capeldrae 23 Nov 1820, age 77, wife Margaret Law 2 March 1838, age 81, son William 13 Aug 1870, age 79, son David 25 June 1867 age 79, daughter Jean 14 June 1855, age 29.

The only Oswald found buried in the Auchterderran Churchyard was Ann Oswald 14 April 1839, age 79, wife of Jas Wilson 20 Apr 1825, age 65.  Also their son, John 18 Feb 1817, age 21.

No such names in the Kinglassie or Auchterderran Churchyards.
