Fanny Smith

Can anyone help me to find the parents of Fanny Smith, all I have is she married Luke Lawes in St Michaels, Coombe Bissett in 1839  had 3 children and died in 1845, I can find no birth record, I don't know where to go to find out who her parents were can anyone help please.

 :) Hi Trapper....had a quick look on the 41 for Coombe. There were lots of different Lawe family groups of different generations but in the case of the Smiths only one couple who were old enough to be parents. These were likely to be them but hope that some one can verify with parish records for you.

  1841 Coombe  Thomas Smith  50  Ag  Lab born in county
                           Elizabeth Smith  45                    ''

 All other Smiths were below the age of 40(George)and other members of Lawe families inc a 27 year old and children and in another house a 57 lady were paupers.

the 1841 cencus has fanny lawes dob as c 1818 wiltshire.of course she maynot have been baptised in coombe bissett,there is a baptism for a fanny smith 24th jan 1818 in  compton bassett.parents john smith and mary that is the only likely candidate

Thanks to both of you for your help, lets hope someone can verify from Parish records, it could be either family.
