Welcome to Rootschat!

It looks like you're looking at the same family as james79. Parish records have come online since this post from 2006.

& for your relative
John Edwards dec qtr 1838 Cardigan vol 27 pg 32 mmn Morgans
Baptism 15 Nov 1838 John, son of William, sailmaker, and Elizabeth edwards of Pendre Street.

possible marriage in St Mary's, Cardigan 22 May 1828 for William Edwards bachelor of St Dogmells & Elizabeth Morgan of Cardigan, witnesses David Williams & John Lewis, all sign except Elizabeth.

There are several Edwards families in St Dogmael's. The parish register around 1808 is a bit untidy. There's a John & Elizabeth Edwards having children but he is a farmer on later baptisms.
There's a William, fisherman, & Margaret and William or possibly both parents are dead when son William is baptised 25 Dec 1814.
Also a John, fisherman, & Mary and a John, fisherman, & Margaret.
I think David Edward & wife Magdalen can be ruled out as there's a possible marriage 25 Nov 1815.
Always a possibility that there is not parish baptism if his family was non-conformist.
