Identifying an Occupation

Hi Alan can you show a bit more - it sometimes helps to look at the way other letters are formed?

I agree it does look like Slater House - would'nt it have been a House Slater though, or is that something else?

Dunno Meles quick look at alans profile says he's in Bedforshire but might not be any use have googled it and there is a whole list of scottish stuff - Alans offline at mo too!

Definitely Slater, House.  It is quite common to find an occupation qualified in census returns, for example: Servant, Domestic.
