Hi Ken,

Could you tell me, when you found the entry for Richards birth on Thorne Quay did you find a birth date? All I have is a Christening date which is 24 Jan 1823.
I think its a coincidense that I have now found a marriage for a William and Sarah Smith in Hull for 1825.( I know this is 2 years after Richards birth)
You found a Mary Smith living with a William and Sarah on the 1841 census and I found Richard with a Samuel and Jane Smith on the 1841 census in Jenning Street Hull. On his marriage certificate Richard was living in Jenning Street at the time of his marriage.
Then I have found a Sarah Jane Wilkinson born to a William and Sarah in 1849 (both wives names)
I just hope I am onto the right line here.

I have checked Thorn Quay for 1841c & there was no Wilkinson or Smith living there at that time.
I Have 1861c Jenning St Hull.
Wilkinson Robert 36-Jane30- James 7- Rachel 5- William 3- Robert 2-
Anthony 0.

William 32- Ellen 29- William 4- Alice Jones 17.
