Hi Marton,

I delved into the Kings Langley PRs and found a good sprinkling of Jordan baptisms during the period in question including two Georges.
John & Elizabeth  -  GEORGE 05Apr1801 (3mths old) : John 12Sep1802 (bn.14Aug) : William 16Sep1804 (bn.21Aug)
John & Betty  of Chipperfield  -   Fanny  10Jan1807
Ephram & Martha of Chipperfield   -  Elizabeth and Ann 25Jul1790(twins and paupers) : Charlotte 22Aug1792  :  Elizabeth 17Oct1798.
Edward & Sarah   -   Mary Ann 31Aug1800  :  GEORGE 05Dec1802  :  Jane 24Feb1805 (bn.13Jan)  :  Edward 27Sep1807 (bn.25Aug)
Frances Jordan   -   Fanny Smith 13Jan1807  illeg. (bn.19Nov 1806).

I searched the Hertfordshire Allen Index of Marriages but there was no reference to George and Mary. There were however four Jordan marriages  at Kings Langley   ..
17Apr1796 Jos.Robertson and Elizabeth Jordan
02Feb1798 Ephraim Jordan and Martha Radwell
21Aug1799 Robert Halsey and Sarah Jordan
23Dec1800 John Jordan and Elizabeth Reddall

Hope this will help.

Regards   ...   Peter

Hi Peter, thank you very much for the trouble you have gone to, will now see if Ivinghoe was marriage place, or near villages :)
