Hi,

I am looking for information on a James Thomas Blaze Marshall.
Born 1880, Aston, Birmingham.

He married in 1914 at Winchcombe, Glos.

He served in ww1 but i cant find anything on him.

Can anybody help?

Hi Jim

As he was 34 at the outbreak of war it is unlikely he would have been called up, although he might have volunteered.

I can't find a reference for him on the WW1 medal rolls, but that doesn't mean he wasn't in the forces - he may not have been sent to a theatre of war.  I have one who spent the entire war doing over 600 concerts to the troops and public in Dover to raise morale - he was a lance corporal in the RE.
