Progress report (report, anyway!), as promised:

Alan's Wilkinson database covers only Lincolnshire and some borders.  He has 78 Marthas, but not mine.

However, received a very nice email from him with a couple of pointers.  Got me going again.  I have now found two references to her birthplace:  London NK.   I will be posting to the London sub-forum.
