Hi Sue

Thanks for that - I think the move to WA seems to be related to the mining - I am sure most of the move was before Thomas ?Laurence died.  I think the Roderick was Thos. father's name.

I am particularly interested in Thomas Jnr.  Bridget went to WA when she was 19 - died there in 1973.  This is not my direct line but am interested to pursue.

The death cert of Thomas Ryan 1907 shows his wife's name as Johanna Carroll with chn  Mary Ann, Elizabeth, Winifred and Alice.  His father Roderick and mother unknown.  Died at Kilmore  A disappointment.

The marriage cert  for Thomas Ryan and Elizabeth Flinn  Oct 12 1866.  Thomas parents Dennis Ryan and Winifred Carey.  Elizabeth's parents -  Michael Flinn and Barbara Heavy.  Married at Kilmore.  Witnesses   John Ryan and Margaret Quard - marked with X

I could not find death in Vic  for Thomas Ryan with parents  Dennis Ryan and mother Winifred Carey.

Too many Thomas Ryans :(

Here is a link to someone with obviously similar interest in Ryans.
Has listed all yours plus some more children plus --MIDDLE NAMES.
Of course only as reliable as the contributor's source, but well worth the look.
Sue.  If linkdoesn't work tell me.

Thanks for that link Sue.  I emailed the contact person for the Ryans I am interested in - unfortunately my email has been returned - undeliverable.

If you are keen to follow up, the 'FOOTSTEPS' button takes you to the historical society under whose auspices the listing has been made. There is both snail and email option,
Ask them how to make cintact.

Thanks Sue - I  looked at the Perth DPS and found  the contact person - there is a typing error on the email address on the Kilmore Marriages site.  More hopeful now.

Thanks for your help.

I have had a response from Thomas Ryan and Elizabeth Flinn's great grandaughter with lots of info :)  This lady has been looking for a connection to my family for many years - so another success story.

Thank you to all who helped me.

Cheers

Hi Cando,
This is a wonderful outcome for you.
Amazing to think that someone out there has been working towards the same goal in trying to find your connection to her and vice versa and then bingo! It happens!
Fantastic.
