Really really enjoyed the programme and what a lovely man Colin is. Very sad moment at the end but I think one of the best ones I have seem.

I felt so sorry for his poor mum when he told her that her mums remains had been taken out of the original grave because no one could be found to pay the grave rental and reburied in a commom grave and they couldn't even rebury her in another grave because the authorities would not know which remains where hers  :'(.
Imagine having to pay grave rental and then when every one dies and no one is left to pay the rental voila  dig up the remains bury them all together not a head stone or marker to say who is in this mass grave. Its like eviction or even recycling bet they don't have to open many new graves just dig up a non rent payer and  you have a new grave to Let. As Colins mum said its disgusting and so disrespectful.

He must be the first one who was chirpy and happy, all the others seem to have been miserable in comparison?

Brilliant show, Colin was so happy to meet all branches and was very down to earth, the excitement when he found out the information, his smile made me smile ;D,

I did think he may have told his mum quietly about the final resting place of his grandmother, I will admit to having a tear in my eye.

All in all, one of the best I have seen.

I do agree Jane, if I had been him I would have told them in a less public way and it was difficult to watch. Perhaps he underestimated the effect it would have on them.

Brian

Packer was Colin's Panamanian grandma's surname, wasn't it?
Gladys Roslyn Packer, daughter of Richard Augustus

Wonder why she picked that for her stage name, rather than Jackson?

SandraC

I thought and please correct me if I am wrong that it was said last night that Colin's parents married in 1965, therefore Suzanne was born before the parents got together in 1962.

I was curious about the marriage they found - was it for Jacob??  and they didn't mention the wife.  It looked like Stewart on the record, but they didn't mention her at all.
