Thank you Susan.  I am not on either Ancestry or Genenes Reunited.  I have concentrated on Australian family history and have only recently ventured further afield.   I have not been able to ascertain when James immigrated to Australia.   The Unassisted Inward Passenger List for the 'Caractacus', which left England on 23 June 1855 and arrived in Melbourne in October 1855, lists
Alfred James Whitrow, aged 3 years, Alice Whitrow aged 5 years and Caroline Whitrow aged 35 years.    Caroline had a third child Katherine born 1 September 1856 at 5 pm at Raglan, Vic.   Caroline died 22 March 1858 aged 37 years.

James Whitrow married Eliza Drinkwater, aged 36 years, on 25 June 1865.

Hello Susan        I am descended from William Mothersole who married Sarah Borley in 1819.  I am curious to know William's ocupation, can you perhaps help?

Thanks,

susan passed away in 2012.I'm sorry I thought I had all the angles covered  . I am continuing to keep her account open in the rather forlorn hope that someone else in the family takes an interest

Hi Dave,

I am so sorry to hear that.  I was hoping that the chemo did the trick.  Much love to you all xx

Meantime, good luck with someone else taking the baton!

Cheers Jodie
