Benjamin BURTON born c 1795

I am trying to trace an ancestor of mine & his family:
Benjamin Burton who I think was born in Cambridgeshire in 
c1795, died in Leicestershire in 1851

Help please!!

Hi found their marriage dont know if you already have it.
Benjamin Burton to Ann Cawvely 07th Aug 1833 Coston,Leicester.Found them in 1841 but he dies before the census in 1851 which makes his birthplace  difficult to trace.
You could send for a photocopy of the marriage entry see who the witnesses were see if that gives you any clues?
How do you know he was born in Cambridgeshire?

from 1841 census,
bejamin burton, aged 45, Ag. Lab.
ann burton, aged 45.
susannah burton, aged 12
william burton aged 10
thomas burton aged 5
mary burton aged 4

parish of coston, waltham, melton mowbray.
census shows he was born out of county
 also freebmd shows a benjamin burton died apr - june 1851 melton mowbray. vol15 page 147
could be your man?

I have managed to find this information, but I would like to go a stage further & find Benjamin,s birthplace & parents.

As Welsh Lady pertinently asked - what makes you think he was from Cambs?

Have you checked the marriage entry to see if his parish of residence was quoted - if you're lucky it might be a Cambs parish, but more likely was otp!

Don't forget that age 45 in 1841 meant that he could have said he was anywhere between 45 and 49, as ages were rounded down to the nearest 5 below. Was an age quoted on his death cert?
