Hi Phil

For those in the services post WW1, their service records are still with the armed forces see http://www.veteransagency.mod.uk/service_records/service_records.html

Thanks Casalguidi, still not sure what to do. This man is shrouded with secrecy. According to his grandchildren no info including any medical records exist. He was always well to do ( drove a bently in the 20s). His son John went into service and was immediately made an officer because of who his father was. Could it be there is still no info availible on high profile personel. Cheers Phil.

Are there no clues as to his occupation on his marriage certificate?  Birth certificates of children?

I'm not sure what they mean by "medical records" ???
