Thanks very much for new leads.  I have investigated the John Hallidays further using the SDGW.  Two of the John Hallidays look like they are from the Falkirk area. But,  John Halliday S/6282, turns out to be from St Helens, Lancs.

I am sending you a separate email containing 3 jpegs so you can make a comparison and see what I mean.
