RG9 is usually 1861 1891 is RG12

i agree with 1881 and as it is star street i would say that this family is definately yours.
now lets look at 1891  ;D

although the 1891 cencus does not state dobbie and doesnt evan look much like dobbie looking at the family i would still say that it is the correct family.if we can confirm with a birth for a john dobbie c 1878 and the same with the others i would say we were on to a winner

I agree to, they are the family, but wonder what Nulte means?...

Alli would you check that 1871 cen for me please? For John and JANE Dobbie i'm wondering if i got it right as it says thier daug Ellen is 22 and her parents john and Jane are 33 and 35!

Whoops! sorry Alli, of course it should have been RG12.

I don't think it says Nulte on the image of the 1881 census, it's just transcribed as that, to me it looks like Lutle or Litle, maybe the enumerator couldn't read the original or maybe Judith was nicknamed Little  :-\ ;D

John Dobbie Married Jane McIndoe 18th August 1854 in Barony Lanarkshire. (same place my ancesters married)
