It seems Robert, born ca. 1800, was from London (and his wife from Denbigh) - therefore any Turners 1700-1800 from Wrexham are not very likely to be related, are they?  ???

Agree Tanja  :)

I think the most likely follow up would be the wife, Mary, born Denbigh circa 1802. I also note that daughter Catherine was born circa 1835, Wrexham. The parish records might give a clue there. Also the birth cert that I found of Walter (on other thread) would give Mary's maiden name.

Gadget,
That's wonderful I do know they had a daughter called Cathere and I think the other daughters were Sarah and Mary Ann
If only I could find Mary's maiden name

Please check out the other thread, u3. I have edited a reply - I think the Henry R from 1881 wasn't our man after all, although his occupation looked so perfect.  :P

When you are looking at the possible Marriage of Walter Turner's Parents,I think that the Marriage offered by Tanja on the other thread is a very strong possibility, that of Robert Turner and Mary Williams at Denbigh in 1826.Pressure of time at the Rhosymedre Resource Centre of Clwyd FHS today, prevented me from looking for the Marriage in the Denbigh Parish Registers,or the Hayes Marriage Index.
