Shoemaker Munro
« on: Saturday 30 September 06 15:37 BST (UK) »
I've come to a full stop researching my Munros. Can anyone help me bridge the gap between David Munro age 45 in the 1841 census (London), wife Sarah, age 35. children Ann Mary George Charles Sarah Jean and Catharine. and his leaving Scotland before their marriage in 1821, London.  I think I've found him in the Cromarty Courthouse Museum Militia List for 1814, then stated age 21, but this really isn't 100%, as the DOBs don't match.  I've searched SP but drawn a blank.  Thanks.
Ron

There are several David Munros in the IGI with a DOB in the 1790's from Ross & Cromarty (which would coincide with a marriage of 1821). Any of these could be yours if you are sure he was born in R&C.
