There are lots of Davies in this area of Herefordshire right near the Welsh Border.
 No doubt some of them will be distant descendents of your Davies

william davies married joanne yapp sept qtr of 1848 ludlow district vol 18 page 111.
looks like joanne and william were living with inlaws in 51.
one way to find out. now we know her maiden name we can search 1841.
