Wexford ancestors......
« on: Monday 02 October 06 17:16 BST (UK) »
Hello all
I am trying to find details of my Great Grandad. His name was Richard REIGH and he was born in Wexford about 1863. I know he was a seaman and settled in Liverpool and was married to Catherine O'Brien in 1892.
Could anyone help or point me in the right direction as to where I can find more details about the REIGH family in Wexford.
Many thanks

Tony Quinn

Hiya Tony,

I've had a quick look at Griffith's Valuation of Co. Wexford 1853
with no success other than wonder if Reigh and Rea are connected.

Patrick Rea, Carrowreagh, Kilgarvan. Wexford
John Rea, Carrowreagh, Kilgarvan. Wexford
Michael Rea, Town of Wexford, St. Selskars. Wexford
Patrick Rea, Ballycowan, Kilscoran. Wexford

Irish Ancestors Surname Search was not much help other than establish that there is a surname Reigh.
There were three in Ireland at the time of the Valuations in Ireland but they were in Dublin. One in
the City and two elsewhere in Co. Dublin.
