It's unlikely because Rotherham is [now] in South Yorkshire and Leeds is [now] in West Yorkshire, 35 miles away and to the North of Rotherham.

But in the days of the Ridings, both Rotherham and Leeds were in the West Riding of Yorkshire.  Rotherham itself is about 35 miles south of Leeds.  But there will be places in Rotherham registration district closer or father from Leeds.
