1841 census
« on: Wednesday 04 October 06 19:43 BST (UK) »
I'm trying to determine which Henry BROOKS is mine - is anyone able to locate one born abt. 1820 in Paulton in 1841 census.

He is NOT the one living with James and Frances BROOKS in Paulton.

Thanks, Linda

Hi Linda,

The only Henry Brooks I can see anywhere in Somerset aged 15-25, apart from the one with James and Frances in Paulton, is aged 25 listed as not born in County is a Debtor in Ilchester County Gaol.

Sorry Kris  :'(

Thanks Kris.  This man is a bit of a quandry.  I would think he is the one with James and Frances  - except A) he was born in 1820 and they were married in 1824, and B)  if James first wife died (possibly Phoebe Ford died 1820), the James shown marrying Frances Salmon in 1824 is a bachelor, not a widow and C) I've found a marriage for a James Brooks, widower marrying a Sarah ???

Thanks anyway, Linda.
