John CHAMBERS in March Sussex
« on: Wednesday 04 October 06 22:12 BST (UK) »
I am trying to trace any relatives of a  John Chambers who was born in Whittlesey c1858 and later moved to March.  I know he worked on the railway for a short time and later became a self employed greengrocer.
I am looking for someone who may know about his brother James who was a pass guard on the railway.
I need someone who knows the family and can remember if James moved up north to Lincolnshire (or not as the case maybe)

I have exhausted most other avenues and am having trouble confirming that my  Greatgrand father James comes from Whittlesey

A LONG SHOT I KNOW

Regards

Ian

confused..... where does the Sussex come in? Whittlesey and March are both in Cambridgeshire.

You would be best trying to trace the brother's by finding their birth registrations and finding them in the various censuses, also their marriages and deaths etc

Rootschatters will be willing to help if you post all the details you have on them, so we dont look for things you already know.

Edmonds/Edmunds - mainly Sussex
DeBoo - London
Green - Suffolk
Parker - Sussex
Kemp - Essex
Farrington - Essex
Boniface - West Sussex

census information is Crown Copyright from www.nationalarchives.gov.uk
