HUNTER - Walthamstow/West Ham, Essex 1842

Is there anyone out there doing the Hunter's from Walthamstow/West Ham district.
I have had a brick wall for the last four years. I have George on 1851 census, then not again until 1891 when he is married to Jane. Although there is another George married to Elizabeth in 1881 and 1891, he fits the bill perfectly, but unless our George has two wives, he can't be on two 1891 census at the same time. So if anyone out there has Hunter's in these areas, please contact me, it's driving me nuts!!!!

Trying to help but the only George I can find on the 1891 that was born by 1851 was the one born c.1842 Essex married to Elizabeth. Can you give me the reference for the 1891 entry for George & Jane please as I cannot find it.

It's a real mystery.

Yes I think this is our George.  Because this George's siblings are Louisa Matilda b1844 d1846, Alfred b1846, Edward Starling b1847 & Louisa b1849 who married Henry Baxter.  On our Georges marriage cert to Jane a Louise Baxter was a witness.  They are on the 1851 census Ref 107/1769 page 21 Walthamstow district 5c, as a family, but 1861, 1871, 1881 George is not there.  Then on the 1891 he is with Jane.

Albert, George's son was b1888, this is a definate, we are positive about him, and his birth cert says father George Hunter and mother Jane Hunter (previous name Hunter) so the only George Hunter and Jane Hunter marriage I can find is 1873 Bethnal Green.
