Bowden in Timoole
« on: Thursday 05 October 06 09:27 BST (UK) »
My great-great-grandmother Anne Bowden was supposedly born in Drogheda in about 1830. She had a brother James Bowden, who I think I've identified as living at Timure, Drogheda. This could be a mistranscription of Timoole in County Meath. Is/was Bowden (sometimes spelt Boden) a surname in the Timoole area?

Thanks for any help,
Simon

Hello Simon - could James Bowden have lived in Tinure - this is a village which is in County Louth - but it is close to Drogheda (County Meath)...
