Lambton Cottages, Houghton-le-Spring
« on: Monday 08 November 04 15:09 GMT (UK) »
Hi, does anyone know of Lambton Cottages? My 3xG Grandfather was born there about 1832. I think they are in the Houghton-le-Spring area but could be wrong?

Cheers

Hi Audrey,

Thank you for your reply. That would be amazing if one of the cottages is still standing! Am I right to say Lambton cottages are in Houghton-le-Spring?

Cheers,

Hi Audrey,

I remember my Grandad taking me to Beamish when I was a little girl. It's "living" museum if I remember rightly!

My Mum came from Horden so I spent alot of my holiday time in the North East as a child, needless to say as a girl I wasn't interested in family history so all of the info & local knowledge that would be useful now just went in one ear and out of the other!!

Never mind.... we live and learn!
